En este trabajo se plantea la relación que existe entre el conocimiento geográfico científico y el conocimiento geográfico escolar desde la perspectiva del concepto de cultura escolar y del modelo disciplinar. Se abordan los elementos y las peculiaridades de la geografía como disciplina escolar, así como la función que se le atribuye en el currículo
