Abstract
El presente trabajo trata de mostrar las características del Síndrome de Down, una alteración genética que repercute en el normal desarrollo de las personas, sobre todo, a nivel físico e intelectual. Asimismo, se muestra en qué medida el juego, la actividad física o el deporte son actividades imprescindibles para la inclusión social de las personas con Síndrome de Down, además de los beneficios a nivel físico, psíquico, social y afectivo que la Educación Física, en general, proporciona a las personas que la practican
The present work tries to show the characteristics of Down´s Syndrome, a genetic alteration that has an impact on the normal development of people, above all, on a physical and intellectual level. Also, it shows to what extent the game, physical activity or sport are essential activities for the social inclusion of people with Down´s Syndrome, in addition to the physical, psychological, social and affective benefits that Physical Education, in general, it provides the people who practice it
