Ecuacións lineais en diferenzas e as súas aplicacións ao estudo teórico de métodos lineais multipaso para EDOs

Abstract

Este traballo ten tres capítulos. O primeiro deles trata conceptos e resultados fundamentais relativos á estrutura das solucións das ecuacións lineais en diferenzas. O segundo comeza recordando algúns métodos numéricos básicos para ecuacións diferenciais ordinarias (EDO), e continúa cun breve repaso de algúns conceptos centrais no estudo xeral dos métodos numéricos para EDO que son a converxencia, a consistencia e a estabilidade. Por último, no terceiro capítulo aplícanse os resultados do primeiro capítulo ao estudo teórico dos métodos lineais multipaso. En varias partes do traballo faise uso de algúns exemplos prácticos que melloran a comprensión do estudo teóricoThis work consists of three chapters. The first one deals with fundamental concepts and results related to the structure of solutions to linear difference equations. The second begins remembering some numeric basic methods to ordinary differential equations (ODE), and continues with a brief review of some central concepts in the general study of numerical methods for ODE which are convergence, consistency and stability. Finally, in the third chapter, the results of the first chapter are applied to the theoretical study of multistep linear methods. In various parts of the work, some practical examples are used that improve the understanding of the theoretical study.
