Abstract
La lengua y la cultura son dos realidades indisociables. Por eso, es innegable la importancia de la competencia sociocultural en la adquisición de segundas lenguas o lenguas extranjeras. Este reconocimiento no solo se extiende entre los teóricos del tema, sino que se refrenda a nivel institucional, tanto en el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas como, en el caso de la española, en el Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes, donde se establece una serie de consideraciones sobre la pluriculturalidad de los países hispanos que cabe tener en cuenta en la instrucción del español como lengua extranjera. En ese contexto y como muestra de esa riqueza cultural, se presenta una unidad didáctica que tiene como finalidad introducir a los aprendices de ELE de niveles intermedios en la cultura cubana, contribuyendo al desarrollo paralelo de sus competencias sociocultural y comunicativa mediante la práctica conjunta de contenidos lingüísticos y culturales.
Language and culture are two inseparable realities. The importance of socio-cultural competence in the acquisition of second or foreign languages is therefore undeniable. This recognition is not only widespread among theorists on the subject, but is also endorsed at institutional level, both in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and, in the case of Spanish, in the Plan Curricular by Instituto Cervantes, which establishes a series of considerations on the pluricultural nature of Hispanic countries that should be considered in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. In this context and as a sample of this cultural richness, this didactic unit aims to introduce SFL learners with intermediate level to Cuban culture, contributing to the parallel development of their sociocultural and communicative competences through the joint practice of linguistic and cultural contents.
