Abstract
Suicidal behaviors in childhood and adolescence are alarming problems that require effective and preventive intervention based on scientific evidence. To address the issue, a combined study was conducted with a bibliometric approach and content analysis of 249 articles from the Scopus database. Different categories of analysis were identified, such as the incidence and prevalence of suicidal behavior in children and adolescents, the associated risk factors, the training of educational agents and the characteristics of recently implemented programmers. The results obtained made it possible to quantify the existing scientific literature on the subject and to offer a more in-depth interpretation of the problem. In conclusion, the data and analyses presented in this study support the need to implement preventive psychoeducational programmers based on scientific evidence to address suicidal ideation and behavior in childhood and adolescence. Only through an interdisciplinary approach and a thorough understanding of the risk factors involved can effective support be provided and safeguard the health and well-being of young people and their immediate environment.
