Abstract
La comprensión y transformación de la realidad presente en América Latina
exige una reflexión crítica en torno a diversos aspectos de la vida de las
personas, entre ellos la cuestión educativa, que históricamente ha supuesto
múltiples procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje destinados a consolidar la
dependencia, la exclusión y la pobreza en la mayoría de los pueblos de la
región. En este artículo se emprende un estudio general de esta situación,
centrando la atención en la realidad que han experimentado y sufren –desde
los primeros días de la Conquista hasta el presente– los pueblos indígenas en
el contexto educativo y de desarrollo
The comprehension and transformation of the reality today in Latin America requires a reflection concerning several aspects of people’s lives, especially in education. Historically, education has been surrounded by many teaching approaches -learning intends to fuse the dependence, exclusion, and poverty from the vast majority of people from the region. The purpose of this article is to depict this situation; with a depth emphasis in the reality currently experimented – from the very first days of the Conquest to the present – by indigenous people in education context and Latin American development.
