Abstract
Con esta investigación se pretende indagar en los conocimientos sobre
primeros auxilios, y en especial RCP, que posee el profesorado que imparte
Educación Física en Educación Primaria en la provincia de Lugo, así como la
formación recibida al respecto y la utilización de dichos contenidos en las aulas.
La muestra (N=36) estuvo compuesta por docentes, tanto hombres como
mujeres, en activo, que impartían Educación Física en el tercer ciclo de
Educación Primaria en algún centro de la provincia de Lugo.
Para ello, se diseñó una investigación dividida en dos partes bien
diferenciadas. La primera de ellas se refiere a los aspectos introductorios y
bibliográficos sobre el tema que nos ocupa y basada en una amplia búsqueda
bibliográfica en libros, revistas, artículos y otras fuentes secundarias
publicadas. En la segunda parte, a través de la cual obtuvimos los datos, se
aplicó un cuestionario Ad Hoc con 18 preguntas acerca de la formación y
utilización de los primeros auxilios.
Para la presentación y análisis de los datos obtenidos se empleó el programa
estadístico IBM SPSS versión 20.0. Los datos resultantes, aunque fueron
mejores de lo esperado, revelaron una falta de formación de los actuales
maestros y maestras de Educación Física en relación a los primeros auxilios y
a su presencia dentro de las programaciones de aula en la Educación Primaria
This research’s aim is to investigate about first aid knowledge, especially CPR, that Physical Education teachers in Elementary School have in Lugo province, their training in first aid and use of such content in classrooms. Sample (N=36) was composed of teachers, both men and women, who were active and taught Physical Education in third cycle of Elementary School in some school in Lugo province. To do this, a research was designed divided into two distinct parts. First part relates to introductory and bibliographical aspects about the topic at hand and based on an extensive literature searched in books, magazines, articles and other secondary sources published. Second part, through which we obtained the data, an ad hoc questionnaire with 18 questions about first aid formation and use was applied. For the presentation and analysis of data, the statistical program SPSS version 20.0 was used. Resulting data, but are better than expected, revealed a lack of training in Physical Education teachers in relation to first aid and their presence in the classroom programming in Elementary School
