Los índices de intensidad de precipitación 1(30) e 1(10) y su relación con las pérdidas de suelo en el Noroeste peninsular (Galicia, España)

Abstract

Del análisis de 565 eventos de precipitación durante cuatro años hidrológicos (1995–1999), un total de 214 eventos de precipitación registraron pérdidas de suelo en ambientes oceánicos propios del Noroeste peninsular. El objetivo es establecer un umbral de índices de intensidad de precipitación I30 e I10, a partir de los cuales se expliquen un porcentaje amplio de las pérdidas de suelo registradas. Admitiendo la heterogeneidad de los resultados, se puede establecer un umbral donde el índice I30 < 5 Mm h-1 registra entre el 33 y el 55% de las pérdidas de suelo anuales, y otro umbral para el I10 < 15 Mm h-1 comprendido entre el 31,2 y el 58,3%.
