Abstract

This article aims to analyze and understand the ICT-based communication of Galician pre-teens; their knowledge and attitudes in the area of communication and collaboration in the framework of digital competence (DC), especially in relation to interaction, netiquette and digital identity. For this, a mixed methodology is used - a multiple case study and a DC evaluation - taking the DigComp model as reference. The results show that there are competence gaps, difficulty in terms of transferring learnings between contexts, gender-based differences in habits and capacities and an important role played by families in the whole process.
Este artigo ten como obxectivo analizar e comprender a comunicación baseada nas TIC dos preadolescentes de Galicia; os seus coñecementos e actitudes na área da comunicación e a colaboración no marco da competencia dixital (CD), especialmente en relación coa interacción, a netiqueta e a identidade dixital. Para iso, utilízase unha metodoloxía mixta –un estudo de casos múltiples e unha avaliación de CD– tomando como referencia o modelo DigComp. Os resultados amosan que existen lagoas competenciais, dificultade en termos de transferencia de aprendizaxes entre contextos, diferenzas de xénero nos hábitos e capacidades e un papel importante desempeñado polas familias en todo o proceso.
