Los epítetos de las divinidades en los oráculos hexamétricos de Dídima

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar los epítetos divinos que se encuentran en los oráculos hexamétricos de Apolo en Dídima. Para ello, partiremos de la concepción de los oráculos como textos poéticos en los que estos elementos contribuyen parcialmente a potenciar su literaturización. Entre ellos, destaca la presencia de hápax y de epítetos poco comunes para algunas divinidades. De este modo, se analizará su especificidad poética en el contexto de los versos en los que se insertan y se tratará de buscar afinidades con otros textos religiosos como los Oráculos Sibilinos, los Himnos órficos y los autores cristianos.

The aim of this article is to study the divine epithets found in the hexametric oracles of Apollo at Didyma. We will start from the conception of the oracles as poetic texts in which these elements partially contribute to enhance their literaturisation. Among them, the presence of hapax and unusual epithets for some divinities stand out. In this way, their poetic specificity will be analysed in the context of the verses in which they are inserted, and an attempt will be made to find affinities with other religious texts such as the Sibylline Oracles, the Orphic Hymns and Christian authors
