Imagen social de la pedagogía (disciplina científica y carrera)

Abstract

Entre calidad de educación e imagen social de la Pedagogía hay una relación lógica. El hecho de que en determinados casos no se demande calidad de educación, no niega su carácter de necesidad social, ni es prueba que refute la fundamentación 1ógica de la imagen social de la Pedagogía en la calidad de educación. Más bien es prueba de que la función pedagógica no es ajena a las circunstancias socio-históricas y, por consiguiente, no puede desarrollarse en todas las sociedades con el mismo régimen de libertades y con el mismo grado de eficiencia.

Entre la calidad de la educación y la imagen social se instala el conocimiento de la educación y la calidad de los profesionales de la educación. Podemos afirmar que las objeciones no anulan la relación entre la necesidad social de calidad y la Pedagogía; antes bien, nos ponen de manifiesto que la tarea de la Pedagogía no es sencilla y, entre otras cosas, tiene que reclamar lo que hay que hacer para que la Pedagogía pueda lograr el resultado que le es propio, desde la perspectiva de la profesionalización y del profesionalismo.

Es necesario aceptar la diferencia entre Pedagogía como carrera y como disciplina para abordar con rigor lógico la relación entre educación de calidad, Pedagogía e imagen social.

There is a logical relationship between the quality of education and the social image of Pedagogy. The fact that in certain cases the quality of education is not demanded, does not deny its character of social need, nor is it evidence that refutes the logical foundation of the social image of Pedagogy in the quality of education. Rather it is proof that the pedagogical function is not alien to socio-historical circumstances and, therefore, cannot be developed in all societies with the same regime of freedoms and with the same degree of efficiency.The knowledge of education and the quality of education professionals is installed between the quality of education and the social image. Therefore, it is posible to affirm that the objections do not nullify the relation between the social need of quality and the Pedagogy; rather, they show us that the task of Pedagogy is not simple and, among other things, it has to claim what needs to be done so that Pedagogy can achieve the result that is its own, from the perspective of professionalization and of professionalism. In order to approach with logical rigor the relationship between quality education, Pedagogy and social image, it is necessary to accept the difference between Pedagogy as a career and as a discipline.
