Abstract
El artículo que se presenta parte de indagaciones realizadas durante
la elaboración de la tesis doctoral “El Departamento de Información
y Orientación Profesional en los Centros Integrados de Formación
Profesional de Galicia. Perfil y necesidades de formación de sus
profesionales” defendida el 03/06/2020 en la Facultad de CC.
de la Educación de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC) (Diz López, 2020). Nuestro propósito
es determinar en qué consiste la integración de la perspectiva de género en la orientación profesional de
instituciones de formación. Para ello, comenzamos por aclarar los conceptos básicos que hacen referencia
al término género y al significado de perspectiva de género. A continuación, nos ocupamos de la concepción
actual de orientación profesional y de lo que supone realizar una intervención orientadora con perspectiva
de género. Nos servimos del caso de la USC y su plan de igualdad, como ejemplo ilustrativo. Y, finalmente,
proponemos una serie de indicadores que pueden servir a las instituciones formativas para realizar una
autoevaluación, o bien, valer de referente para implementar la transversalidad de género en las mismas
The article that is presented is part of inquiries made during the preparation of the doctoral thesis “The Department of Information and Professional Guidance in the Integrated Vocational Training Centers of Galicia. Profile and training needs of its professionals” defended on 06/03/2020 at the Faculty of CC. of Education of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) (Diz López, 2020). Our purpose is to determine what is the integration of the gender perspective in the professional orientation of training institutions. To do this, we begin by clarifying the basic concepts that refer to the term gender and the meaning of gender perspective. Next, we deal with the current conception of professional guidance and what it means to carry out a guidance intervention with a gender perspective. We use the case of the USC and its equality plan, as an illustrative example. And, finally, we propose a series of indicators that can be used by training institutions to carry out a self-assessment or serve as a benchmark to implement gender mainstreaming in them
