Abstract
A história da restauração de construções de pedra na segunda metade do século XX foi muito importante em Espanha, o que deu lugar a toda uma série de intervenções para salvar aqueles monumentos que estavam em perigo devido à construção de barragens. Nestes casos, houve dois processos básicos, um foi a manutenção do bem no lugar para o qual tinha sido criado, mesmo que desaparecesse sob as águas da barragem, como aconteceu com a Ponte Pedriña (Bande, Ourense) e o outro, o mais numeroso, foi a sua deslocação total ou parcial para outro lugar, situação que ocorreu em Portomarín (Lugo) com as suas duas igrejas principais: a de San Juan e a de San Pedro.
The history of the restoration of stone constructions in the second half of the 20th century was very important in Spain, which gave rise to a whole series of interventions to save those monuments that were in danger due to the construction of reservoirs. In these cases there were two basic processes, one was that the property was kept in the place for which it had been created, even if it disappeared under the waters of the reservoir, as happened with Ponte Pedriña (Bande, Ourense) and the other, the most numerous, was that it was moved either entirely or partially to another place, a situation that occurred in Portomarín (Lugo) with its two main churches: the churches of San Juan and San Pedro.
