Abstract
[ES] El problema del cálculo del área encerrada por una curva plana fue el origen del concepto de integral en una variable. Con el paso a la integral en dos variables, apareció la idea de calcular el volumen de un cuerpo dividiéndolo en superficies planas y "sumando" el área de cada una de ellas. Esta es la idea que está detrás del teorema de Fubini, una de las herramientas más importantes en Análisis.
[EN] The problem of area calculation inside a flat curve was the origin of the concept of the integral in one variable. When the integral of two variables started to be used, the idea of calculate the volume of a body dividing it into flat surfaces and adding the area of them came up. This is the idea behind the Fubini's theorem, which is one of the most important tools in Analysis.
