Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the level of perceived emotional intelligence (attention, clarity and emotional reparation) in a sample consisting of 43 students of 4th Grade in Primary Education by means of the TMMS-24 auto test report by Fernández -Berrocal, Extremera and Ramos (2004). The results allow affirming that there are no statistically significant differences in any of the variables studied and, therefore, future PE teachers have good perceived emotional intelligence. After this study, it can be said that, although the students participating in this study have a good perceived emotional adjustment, we believe that it is necessary that these contents are introduced to the initial training of future teachers so that, along with other educational agents, they can manage to go beyond the transmission of academic content and contribute to the overall development of students
