Abstract
This chapter is the result of research on the Castilian manuscripts of the Vade mecum in Tribulatione by Juan de Rocaçisa that circulated in 15th century Castile. We will focus on two tasks. First, we will carry out a historiographical reconstruction of the author and the text in different geographies. Afterwards, we will present a proposal to contextualize the Castilian manuscripts in the reign of John II, providing some reflections to situate them in that period
