Abstract
El desarrollo profesional de los profesores se sitúa como una prioridad en las políticas educativas, tal como recogen diversos estudios nacionales e internacionales. La forma en que se implementa parece estar sujeta a mayor controversia. Este artículo describe una investigación sobre la mejora de la capacitación y el desempeño profesional de los docentes, cuando se constituyen en una comunidad de aprendizaje. Apoyados en una metodología cualitativa, exploramos los condicionantes, la evolución del grupo y las implicaciones hasta convertirse en una comunidad de aprendizaje. Los resultados nos muestran que construir un clima agradable de respeto y confianza mutua entre los docentes ayuda a la mejora de sus habilidades profesionales, pone en valor el saber de la experiencia y el conocimiento práctico y favorece la construcción de una cultura colaborativa. Se concluye que la participación en una comunidad de aprendizaje refuerza la identidad profesional de los docentes
The professional development of teachers is a priority in educational policies, as reflected in various national and international studies. The way in which it is implemented seems to be subject to greater controversy. This article describes an investigation into the improvement of the professional training and performance of teachers when they become a learning community. Supported by a qualitative methodology, we explore the conditioning factors, the evolution of the group, and the implications that lead to it becoming a learning community. The results show that building a pleasant climate of respect and mutual trust among teachers helps to improve their professional skills, values the knowledge of experience and practical knowledge, and favours the construction of a collaborative culture. It is concluded that participation in a learning community reinforces the professional identity of teachers
