Abstract
En el siglo XXI, el docente ha de desempeñar un amplio abanico de funciones y tareas y, en consecuencia, se requiere para ello una formación adecuada, completa y exigente. En el nuevo panorama, la formación, y en particular el desarrollo de la competencia emocional, constituyen factores clave para que los docentes puedan afrontar los retos formativos en un mundo de cambios acelerados. En este trabajo se presenta un análisis documental descriptivo e interpretativo de varios planes de estudios de formación inicial docente pertenecientes a diferentes universidades de Europa, comparándolos con los planes actuales en España, centrándose en la atención prestada al desarrollo de la competencia emocional. In the 21st century, teachers have a wide range of roles and tasks to perform and, consequently, adequate, comprehensive and demanding training is required. In this new scenario, training, and in particular the development of emotional competence, are key factors for teachers to be able to face the challenges of training in a world of accelerated change. This paper presents a descriptive and interpretative documentary analysis of several initial teacher training curricula from different universities in Europe, comparing them with the current curricula in Spain, focusing on the attention paid to the development of emotional competence.
