Abstract
Project based learning and artistic creation provide future secondary teachers with an opportunity to experience and to reflect on the importance of including a gender perspective in education. This article describes acase study where students of the Postgraduate course in Secondary Teacher Training explore the image of the femalebody in comics, publicity, beauty contests and the world of fashion with the aim of planning and designing a project that can be undertaken by school age children and promoting the discussion of issues such as equity and equality of rights and opportunities for women and men in subjects they will later on have to teach in a secondary school classroom
