Abstract
Este trabajo explora la tendencia en investigación sobre el uso de la tecnología en la escuela rural desde dos enfoques complementarios, a través de un análisis de contenido y de un estudio bibliométrico. Para tal fin se han seleccionado 206 artículos científicos disponibles en la base de datos Scopus, WOS y Dialnet, empleando el método PRISMA. Se consideraron indicadores de productividad, colaboración e impacto, así como el contenido. Los resultados muestran la existencia de brechas digitales y sociales derivadas de cuestiones técnicas relacionadas con las dificultades de conectividad en los centros y la falta de formación del profesorado para adaptar las tecnologías al medio rural. Igualmente se destaca en los resultados el papel de la tecnología para visibilizar a los centros y las prácticas que se realizan en la escuela, el acercamiento a otras realidades y recursos, la compensación de desigualdades y la dinamización de experiencias socioeducativas. Los resultados de este trabajo permiten concluir que es necesario seguir indagando sobre los usos de la tecnología en la escuela rural, las percepciones de los participantes, las políticas educativas, el impacto del uso de tecnología en el ámbito rural y las posibilidades que ofrece el uso de la misma
This paper explores the trend in research on the use of technology in rural schools from two complementary approaches, through a content analysis and a bibliometric study, taking into account 206 selected scientific articles. Articles available in the Scopus, WOS and Dialnet databases were included, using the PRISMA method. Indicators of productivity, collaboration and impact as well as content were taken into account. The results show the existence of digital and social gaps derived from technical issues related to connectivity difficulties in the centres and the lack of teacher training to adapt technologies to the rural environment. The results also highlight the role of technology to make the centres and the practices carried out in the school more visible, the approach to other realities and resources, the compensation of inequalities and the stimulation of socio-educational experiences. The results of this paper lead to the conclusion that further research is needed on the use of technology in rural schools, the perceptions of participants, educational policies, the impact of the use of technology in rural areas and the possibilities they offer
