Abstract
mixtas. El recuerdo y el reconocimiento
se midieron inmediatamente, al cabo de un
día y de una semana. Los resultados del
MANOVA indicaron que el tipo de imagen
influía en el recuerdo a corto plazo. Las imágenes
mixtas tuvieron un mayor recuerdo
inmediato que las imágenes normales y raras
The effects of different image types: normal, bizarre, or mixed imagery on immediate, after a day, and one week, in high vivid imagery subjects were investigated. A sample of 175 Spanish Secondary Compulsory Education [Educación Secundaria Obligatoria] students (90 men and 85 women) were shown 16 simple sentences in order to memorize lexical items using normal, bizarre, or mixed imagery. Recall and recognition tests were used immediately, after a day, and after one week. The results of the MANOVA showed the influence of image type on short-term memory, and revealed that recall performance was greater with mixed imagery that with bizarre or normal imagery strategy
