Abstract
En este trabajo se pretende, como objetivo general, aproximarse a los aspectos motivacionales que conllevaron a
la realización del Máster de Profesorado en Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y Enseñanza de Idiomas (MPES) organizado por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (España) en
el campus de Lugo. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo, se siguió una metodología cuantitativa empleando el cuestionario, previamente sometido a valoración por parte de expertos, como instrumento de recogida de información.
Participaron un total de 48 alumnos pertenecientes a dicho máster durante el curso académico 2016-2017, de
los cuales el 40% son varones y el 60% mujeres. En general, el perfil predominante de la muestra es el de mujer
ingeniera de entre 24 y 25 años de edad, recién titulada y sin experiencia laboral. Los resultados muestran que la
intención de ser docente es la que impulsa en mayor medida la realización de esta formación (85%), al mismo
tiempo que se constata la creencia acerca de que la vocación y la formación continua son aspectos importantes
para llegar a ser un buen docente.
This article is an excerpt from a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in Obligatory Secondary Education and High School Education, Vocational Training and Languages Teaching organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on Lugo Campus. With it, it aims, as a general objective, to approach the motivational aspects that led to the realization of such training. To carry out the work, it was used a quantitative methodology, using the previously evaluated questionnaire as a data collection instrument, establishing as a priority to achieve maximum objectivity. The study was conducted on a sample of 48 students belonging to this master during the academic year 2016-2017, of which 40% are male and 60% female. In general, the predominant profile of the sample is the female engineer between 24 and 25 years of age, newly qualified and without work experience. The choice of doing this Master is linked to the intention to be a teacher, 85% of the sample and mostly the students surveyed think that vocation and continuous training are important aspects to become a good teacher
