Abstract
This study reflects the difficult coexistence that exists between the cultural heritage and the constructions of the large reservoirs, since many of the monuments that were in their spaces were submerged under their waters. This is the case of Ponte Pedriña (Bande, Ourense). Bridge, of Roman origin, that was located the Vía Nova, a road that linked Braga with Astorga, and allowed to cross the Limia, river of forgetfulness for the Romans. Despite the various proposals based on other examples to try to preserve the monument, as can be deduced from the analysis of the consulted documentary and bibliographic sources, all attempts were unsuccessful, which explains that, despite being recognized as a monument At present, it is under the waters of the As Conchas reservoir (Ourense). Disappearance that, as concluded, has increased its value.
