Abstract
El artículo presenta la cultura como un medio para analizar el lugar que cada uno ocupa en la sociedad y resalta el sentimiento de pertenencia a una comunidad de referencia dentro de un marco democrático y dialogal. Desde la Animación Sociocultural y el Desarrollo comunitario, y en el marco que constituye la Educación Social, se intenta atender a las necesidades de la comunidad para así transformar la realidad. La animación se concibe como un medio de potenciar el desarrollo de las comunidades y apuesta por la democracia cultural. This article proposes culture as a way of analysing the place each of us occupies in society, as well as highlighting our sense of belonging to a particular community within a democratic and dialogal framework. From within the framework of Social Education, Sociocultural Animation and Community Development attempt to address the needs of the community in order to transform the reality. Animation is understood to be a way of empowering the development of communities and it champions cultural democracy. The rethinking of cultural policies is advocated by various national and international bodies
