Abstract
escalas Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) y Frankfurt Emotion Work Scales (FEWS).
burnout.
Throughout this work we have studied theoretically what are the emotions and the importance of emotional work over the years in the job positions of the service sector, and more specifically, in the health professions. On the other hand, we have observed the risk of suffering burnout or the syndrome of burning through work throughout a professional career, its relationship with age or seniority in the position, its consequences on the health of workers and some possible forms of intervention, both on the worker and on the organization. In addition, we have seen the different dimensions of each of the mentioned terms (emotional work and burnout) and the relationships between them. We checked which are considered most relevant and what fits in each of them, that way we could better understand the globality of each of the terms to study. 4 To do this, we relied on an empirical study conducted in a hospital, with a sample of 102 nurses and auxiliary nursing technicians, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Frankfurt Emotion Work Scales (FEWS) scales. Finally, this analysis has helped us to confirm the importance of emotional work in the healthcare branch and the risk of suffering burnout in the future. In addition, the relationship between the emotional implications at work and the appearance of burnout was proven.
