Abstract
La familia puede actuar como factor de riesgo o de protección frente a las conductas problema que aparecen durante la adolescencia, como el consumo de drogas. El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar si hay relación entre la presencia de problemas de depresión y ansiedad rasgo en las madres, y el consumo de drogas (tabaco, alcohol, cannabis y cocaína) en los hijos. La muestra está formada por 594 sujetos, 297 madres y 297 hijos, que fueron seleccionados a través de un muestreo aleatorio, estratificado por sexo y edad, de la comarca del Salnés (Pontevedra). Los resultados indican que las madres cuyos hijos han consumido alguna vez cannabis y/o cocaína, y que han fumado tabaco en los 6 últimos meses, tienen más sintomatología depresiva. Además es más probable que hayan consumido alcohol (copas) alguna vez en la vida y en los últimos 6 meses, y que se hayan emborrachado, los hijos cuyas madres tienen una puntuación por encima de la media de la población normal en ansiedad rasgo
The family can act as a risk or protective factor in the behavior problems that appear during the adolescence, as the consumption of drugs. The objective of the present study is to analyze if there is relationship between the presence of depression and trait anxiety problems in mothers, and the consumption of drugs (tobacco, alcohol, cannabis and cocaine) in their sons. The sample is formed by 594 persons, 297 mothersand 297 sons selected at random, stratified by sex and age, of the area of Salnés (Pontevedra). The results indicate that the mothers whose sons have consumed cannabis and/or cocaine at some time, and that they have smoked tobacco in the last 6 months, they have more depressive symptoms. It is also more probable than they have consumed alcohol (spirits) lifetime and in the last 6 months, and that they have drunkness, the sons of mothers that have a score above the normal population of reference
