Abstract

La Lingüística adopta una perspectiva descriptiva hacia la variación, que mantiene que no hay razones lingüísticas para considerar que un dialecto es superior o inferior a otros, pues todas son formas igualmente eficaces de comunicar. Frente a esta perspectiva, la perspectiva prescriptiva sostiene una visión asimétrica de la variación, sosteniendo la existencia de varidades correcta e incorrectas.Linguistic adheres to a descriptive position towards variation. That position contends that no linguistic reasos exist in order to consider thet a given dialect is better or worse than other dialects, for all of them are equally effective ways of communication. On the contrary, the prescriptive perspective brings to the fore an asymmetricview of variation which assumes the existence of correct and incorrect varieties.
