Obsolescencia estratégica y literatura digital: una aproximación desde la teoría literaria

Abstract

La teoría literaria en España ha ofrecido valiosos estudios sobre las complejas relaciones entre literatura y nuevos medios. La mayoría de las aproximaciones se han centrado en el “impacto” e influencia de Internet en el campo literario y en la propia definición de literatura. Este artículo abandona parcialmente la idea de novedad, cambio o diferencia textual-medial que han caracterizado tales investigaciones, pues considero que la red ya se ha normalizado y se manifiesta más allá del ámbito online. Por este motivo, se defiende en el artículo la conveniencia de alcanzar una cierta distancia crítica y temporal para la reflexión sobre la creación digital. Específicamente, se plantean dos posibles estrategias para el distanciamiento: por un lado, se revisará la cuestión del post de la literatura con el objetivo de cuestionar el sentido que aporta el adjetivo “digital” hoy en día; por otro, se ofrecerá una relectura crítica de los conceptos de obsolescencia y brecha digital.Literary theory in Spain has offered valuable studies on the complex relationships between literature and new media. Most of the approaches have focused on the “impact” and influence of the Internet in the literary field and in the definition of literature itself. This paper partially abandons the idea of ​​novelty, change, or textual-medial difference that have characterized such investigations, since I consider that the Internet has already been normalized and can be experienced beyond the online sphere. For this reason, I argue for the necessity of reaching a certain critical and temporal distance for reflection on digital creation. Specifically, two possible strategies for distancing are proposed: firstly, the question of literature’s post- will be reviewed with the aim of questioning the meaning that the adjective "digital" provides today; secondly, a critical rereading of the concepts of obsolescence and the digital divide will be offered.
