Movimientos migratorios recientes en Galicia Emigración e inmigración de 1990 a la actualidad

Abstract

Los movimientos migratorios son dinámicas poblacionales existentes desde los orígenes de la humanidad, y presentes hasta nuestros días. En ciertos pueblos y culturas tuvieron una importancia muy notoria, como en el caso de Galicia. Es bien conocida, en el propio imaginario colectivo de esta comunidad autónoma, la masividad de la emigración de gallegos hacia América y hacia algunos países europeos durante los siglos XIX y XX. Este trabajo se orienta en un periodo concreto, las tres últimas décadas, de 1990 a la actualidad. Galicia ya no es emisora de emigrantes en estos años, y por primera vez el número de inmigrantes es superior, año tras año, al de los emigrantes. Este cambio de contexto, la importancia de los inmigrantes en la composición demográfica gallega actual, o las nuevas dinámicas migratorias serán objetos de estudio y análisis, para tratar de comprender mejor la situación actual de la sociedad gallega.The migratory movements are population dynamics that exist since humanity origins, and they are present until our days. In many peoples and cultures, they had a great importance, as galician case. It is well known, in the culture of this autonomous community, the massiveness of galician emigration to America and some countries of Europe, over the XIX and XX centuries. This work is based in a concrete time, the last three decades, from 1990 to the present. Galicia isn´t already a emigrant transmitter this years, and for the first time, the inmigrants number is higher, year by year, than the emigrants number. This context change, the importance of inmigrants in the actual demographic composition, or the new migratory dynamics will be studied and analyzed, trying to undertand better the actual situation of galician society
