Hogar y patrimonio: análisis de la cultura material en Lugo a finales del Antiguo Régimen

Abstract

[SPA] Esta investigación se centra en el análisis cuantitativo y cualitativos de los bienes materiales registrados en inventarios post-mortem de cuatro individuos pertenecientes a distintos estratos sociales —campesino, cura, comerciante e hidalgo— en la provincia de Lugo, durante la transición del reinado de Fernando VII al inicio de la modernidad (alrededor de 1830). A partir del estudio de estos documentos notariales, se examinan las similitudes y diferencias materiales, y las prioridades económicas presentes en la jurisdicción lucense en este período para comprender la cultura material gallega a finales del Antiguo Régimen y a contribuir al debate en torno a la historia social y económica de Galicia.

[GLG] Esta investigación céntrase na análise cuantitativa e cualitativa dos bens materiais rexistrados nos inventarios post-mortem de catro individuos pertencentes a diferentes estratos sociais —campesiño, sacerdote, comerciante e fidalgo— na provincia de Lugo, durante a transición do reinado de Fernando VII ao comezo da modernidade (arredor de 1830). A través do estudo destes documentos notariais, examínanse as semellanzas e diferenzas materiais así como as prioridades económicas presentes na xurisdición lucenseneste periodo. A análise ten como obxectivo comprender a cultura material galega a finais do Antigo Réxime e pretende contribuír ao debate arredor da historia social e económica de Galicia.

[ENG] This research focuses on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the material goods recorded in post-mortem inventories of four individuals belonging to different social strata —peasant, priest, merchant, and nobleman— in the province of Lugo, during the transition from the reign of Ferdinand VII to the beginning of modernity (around 1830). This study examines the similarities and differences, as well as the economic priorities present in the Lugo jurisdiction during this period, based on the analysis of these notarial documents, are examined in order to understand Galician material culture at the end of the Ancient Regime and contribute to the debate surrounding the social and economic history of Galicia.
