Introdución á teoría de operadores lineares

Abstract

A teoría de operadores lineares en espazos de Banach e Hilbert ten aplicacións en diversas áreas de coñecemento do ámbito científico, como a mecánica cuántica ou a teoría ergódica. Neste traballo faremos unha análise dos conceptos máis destacados das bases da teoría de operadores: operadores compactos, operadores de rango finito ou operadores Fredholm, entre outros. Enunciaremos resultados que os caracterizan e probaremos teoremas que establecen relacións entre os diversos tipos de operadores. Ademais, amosaremos algunas aplicacións dos operadores estudados no marco das ecuacións diferenciais e da mecánica cuántica, acompañando a teoría desenvolta con varios exemplos que permiten poñer en valor a utilidade da mesma.Linear operator theory in Banach and Hilbert spaces has applications in several areas of knowledge within the scientific scope, such as quantum mechanics or ergodic theory. In this dissertation we will analyse the most important concepts of the foundations of operator theory: compact operators, finite rank operators or Fredholm operators, among others. We will state results that characterise them and prove theorems that establish relations between the various types of operators. We will show some applications of the operators studied in the framework of the differential equations and quantum mechanics, accompanying the theory developed with several examples that allow us to highlight its usefulness.
