El liderazgo informal en el contexto del deporte: Una revisión bibliográfica

Abstract

[ES] Los estudios acerca del liderazgo deportivo, se han centrado tradicionalmente en el liderazgo formal del entrenador. No obstante, en los equipos deportivos existen otros tipos de liderazgo, como el liderazgo del deportista, definido como aquel jugador que ocupa un rol formal o informal en un equipo e influencia a sus miembros para lograr un objetivo común. En concreto, la investigación del liderazgo informal del deportista ha recibido menor atención, tanto teóricamente, como en los instrumentos utilizados para su evaluación. El presente trabajo describe los avances conceptuales en el campo del liderazgo informal del deportista a partir de la definición de este constructo, así como las teorías e instrumentos de medida desarrollados. Finalmente, se describen las investigaciones que se han llevado a cabo durante los últimos años que refuerzan la importancia que tiene este tipo de liderazgo en los equipos deportivos y proponen una nueva concepción del liderazgo compartido entre sus miembros.[EN] Studies into sports leadership have traditionally focused on the formal leadership of the coach. However, in sport teams there are other types of leadership, such as the athlete leadership, defined as the athlete who plays a formal or informal role in a team and influence it´s members to achieve a common goal. In particular, research on the informal leadership of the athlete has received less attention, neither theoretically nor in the tools used for it´s evaluation. The present study describes the conceptual advances in the field of the informal leadership of the athlete from the definition of this construct, as well as the techniques and tools developed. Finally, the investigations have been carried out during the last years that reinforce the importance of this type of leadership in sports teams are described and a new consideration of shared leadership among it´s members is proposed.
