Quevedo, lector de Nebrija y Pérez de Guzmán

Abstract

El presente artículo da noticia de dos nuevos libros que pudieron pertenecer a la biblioteca de Quevedo: el Sapientum dicta vafre de Nebrija, en edición de 1577, y la llamada Crónica de don Juan Segundo, en la refundición atribuida a Pérez de Guzmán, datada en 1517. Conservados ambos en la Real Academia Española, incluyen el nombre del escritor en la portada, así como notas marginales que presentan rasgos propios de la caligrafía quevedesca y cabe atribuir a su pluma. Otras anotaciones y los subrayados son, en cambio, de autoría incierta.

This article reports on two new books that may have belonged to Quevedo’s library: the Sapientum dicta vafre by Nebrija, in an edition of 1577, and the so-called Crónica de don Juan Segundo, in the recast attributed to Pérez de Guzmán, dated 1517. Both are preserved in the Real Academia Española, and include the name of the writer on the title page, as well as marginal notes that show features typical of Quevedesque calligraphy and can be attributed to his pen. Other annotations and underlining are, on the other hand, of uncertain authorship.
