Abstract

In this paper, we study the geographical distribution of the nuclear con-figuration of information-seeking yes-no questions in western Iberian varieties, to check whether this prosodic feature has a dialectal and diachronic behavior like other phonetic or grammatical features. The objective is to explain the develop-ment of the linguistic boundaries of this area over time and, in short, to understand how the western Iberian varieties were made up
