Abstract
Most studies on literary microtextuality have focused on the terminological debate, its brief extension or the genre classification. In this paper I will use the so-called “aesthetics of fraud” and concepts such as appropriation and post-production to analyze two examples of interstitial microforms: the series of microfictions “El texto detrás del texto” by Mauricio Montiel and the aphoristic work El hombre que rayaba periódicos by Rosendo Cid-Eduardo Torres. First, I will reflect on their genericity, understood as a series of frames or matrices of literary production and interpretation; secondly, I will consider the literary nature of these projects that use appropriationist strategies –erasure or selection/recontextualization– to question the very idea of authorship.
