La Eneida ovidiana. Una nueva interpretación

Abstract

En este artículo se explica, partiendo del tratamiento ovidiano de la Eneida de Virgilio, que la Eneida ovidiana, frente a lo que hasta ahora se ha venido diciendo mayoritariamente: que ocupaba desde el libro XIII 623 hasta el XIV 608, incluye parte del libro XIII, versos 623-690 y los libros XIV y XV 1-860 de las Metamorfosis. La ampliación ovidiana se realiza mediante la materialización histórica de las profecías virgilianas

In this paper we explain, taking account of the ovidian treatment of the Aeneid of Virgil, that the ovidian Aeneid, in opposition to the hitherto defended opinion – that included from the book XIII 623 to the XIV 608 – embraced part of the book XIII, verse 623-690 and the books XIV and XV 1-860 of the Metamorphoses. The ovidian increase comes into being from the transformation of vergilian prophecies into history
