Abstract
La emergencia climática constituye uno de los principales exponentes de las crisis socioambientales que padecemos desde la Revolución Industrial. Dicha emergencia nos sitúa ante una nueva era caracterizada como antropoceno, o capitaloceno, entre cuyas evidencias destaca el incremento exponencial de los niveles de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero desde los años cincuenta del siglo pasado hasta la actualidad. Ante esta situación excepcional, la cultura de la sustentabilidad se ofrece como una pieza esencial para lograr un desarrollo humano ambientalmente sostenible, en interacción con una amplia y diversificada gama de elementos sociales, éticos, territoriales y tecnológicos a los que la investigación educativa tendría que prestar una atención prioritaria.
The climate emergency is one of the main exponents of the socio-environmental crises that we have suffered since the Industrial Revolution. Such emergency place us before a new era characterized as the anthropocene or capitalocene, whose scientific evidence includes the exponential increase in the levels of greenhouse gas emissions from the fifties of the last century to the present. Faced with this exceptional situation, the culture of sustainability is offered as an essential piece for the achievement of environmentally sustainable human development, in interaction with a wide and diversified range of social, ethical, territorial and technological elements to which educational research should pay priority attention.
