Abstract
El uso de Internet y redes sociales es un hecho habitual en la sociedad actual, forma parte de la vida de las personas, en especial, de los/ as jóvenes. Conocer el uso que realizan y las actitudes que poseen hacia estas herramientas permite obtener el perfil del/a joven universitario/a actual e identificar posibles acciones que pueden derivar en problemas a nivel personal, familiar y social. Este estudio analiza la frecuencia y tipos de usos de Internet y redes sociales, las actitudes y la incidencia del género. Se administró una adaptación de la escala de actitudes hacia Internet y redes sociales para adolescentes (Rial, Gómez, Braña y Varela, 2014) a 396 estudiantes de primer y segundo curso de cuatro grados (Pedagogía, Educación Social, Maestro/a Educación Infantil y Primaria). El 99,5% de estudiantes se conectan diariamente, entre las 16 y las 24 horas (86,9%), a través del móvil (95,7%), para buscar información relacionada con los estudios, consultar el correo y visitar redes sociales. En relación al género, los hombres se conectan con mayor frecuencia para participar en juegos online o entrar en webs de apuestas. Las mujeres, descuidan más sus tareas de estudio o se ponen de mal humor por no conectarse. Se confirma que el alumnado accede y utiliza las redes sociales e Internet a siduamente, pudiendo algunos de esos usos, generar problemas personales y familiares en un futuro
The use of the Intern et a nd social networks is a fact in today's society, it is part of the lives of people, especially young people. Obtaining knowledge about the use they make and the attitudes they have towards these tools will allow us to obtain the profile of the current university student and to identify possible actions that can lead to problems at a personal, family and social level. This study analyzes the frequency and types of uses of the Intern et a nd social networks, attitudes and gender incidence. An adaptation of the scale of attitudes towards Intern et a nd social networks for adolescents (Rial, Gómez, Braña & Varela, 2014) was administered to 396 students of first and second year of four grades (Pedagogy, Social Education, Infant and Primary Education Teacher). 99.5% of students connect daily, between 16 and 24 hours (86.9%), via mobile (95.7%), to search for information related to studies, check email and visit networks social. In relation to gender, men connect more frequently to participate in online games or enter betting websites. Women, neglect more their study tasks or get in a bad mood for not connecting. The results confirmed that students access and use social networks and the Internet regularly, being able to generate some personal and family problems in the future
