Evolución histórica del juego de bolos en Boiro

Abstract

Este artículo describe la evolución del juego de bolos en Boiro desde finales del siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Esta modalidad de juego popular y tradicional muestra un gran arraigo en Boiro, siendo éste el único municipio de la provincia de A Coruña donde sigue vigente su práctica. El objetivo es mostrar la importancia que tuvo el juego de bolos en Boiro y su evolución desde que se tienen las primeras referencias de su praxis, analizando las posibles causas por las que esta actividad ha sufrido una merma constante con el paso del tiempo. Fruto de una revisión bibliográfica y de entrevistas realizadas a ex jugadores y personas relacionadas directamente con este juego popular y tradicional, el resultado de la investigación nos muestra una interesante historia de esta actividad lúdica en Boiro, de la que se puede concluir que el juego de bolos es parte esencial del legado cultural y un elemento integrante de las señas de identidad del municipio de BoiroThis article describes the evolution of the game of Skittles in Boiro from the late 19th century to the present day. This version of the popular and traditional game shows great roots in Boiro, since this is the only municipality of the province A Coruña where the game still exists today. The objective is to show the importance that the game of Skittles had in Boiro and the evolution that has taken place since the first references of its practice were reported. We will analyze the possible reasons why this activity has suffered a steady decline over time. After a bibliographical review and interviews with former players and people directly related to this traditional game, the investigation shows an interesting history of this pastime in Boiro. From this history, it is possible to conclude that the game of skittles is an essential part of the cultural legacy and is intimately tied to the identity of the municipality of Boiro
