Mario GARCÍA-PAGE: Syntactic Structures in the Formation of Adverbial Locutions. This article is an essentially descriptive study focused on determining the principal syntactic structures used in the formation of adverbial locutions in Spanish. The work at hand reveals, according to the data from this corpus, that the most recurrent structure which adverbial locutions can adopt is the prepositional syntagma. Mainly, they start with the prepositions a, en, and de (a regañadientes, en pinganitos, de carrerilla), while the structure of the adverbial syntagma is hardly representative. There are also a few instances of the binomial structure (tarde o temprano), the subordinate proposition (como quien oye llover) and the nominal syntagma (un montón).gl
