Violentadas e concienciadas? A violencia contra as mulleres na Galicia medieval

Abstract

As mulleres galegas sufriron ao longo da Idade Media múltiples formas de violencia, independentemente da súa posición socioeconómica. Por iso, o obxectivo deste traballo é afondar no coñecemento desas situacións violentas e intentar dilucidar a capacidade de resposta das mulleres. O método empregado para tal fin foi a elección de referencias bibliográficas relacionadas coa problemática que se plantea e a análise das mesmas. O esquema a través do cal se expón a información descuberta iníciase cun apartado para coñecer como se tratou este tema na Historiografía, pasando a outro máis teórico no que se definen algúns conceptos vertebradores da liña discursiva do traballo e acabar estudando máis polo miúdo as particularidades presentes na Galicia medieval, facendo fincapé en exemplos concretos e na incipiente toma de conciencia que se percibe.

Galician women suffered throughout the Middle Ages many forms of violence, regardless of their socioeconomic position. Therefore, the objective of the research work is to deepen the knowledge of these situations and to try to elucidate the capacity for female response. The method used for this was the choice of bibliographic references related to the problem raised and the analysis of these. The outline through which the information discovered is exposed begins with a section to know how this topic was discussed in Historiography, moving on to another more theoretical one in which some vertebrate concepts of the discursive line are defined and end up studying the particularities present in medieval Galicia, emphasizing concrete examples and the incipient awareness that is perceived.
