Da Italorromania dos séculos IX-X á Iberromania do século XII: escritura e reescritura do motivo Fui eo, madre... na cantiga de amigo

Abstract

Neste traballo celébrase o artigo publicado en 2022 por Vittorio Formentin e Antonio Ciaralli en que se edita e se estuda con gran coidado o que até agora é o primeiro e único fragmento coñecido da lírica das orixes (séculos IX-X): Fui eo, madre, in civitate, vidi onesti iovene, / c̻al̻ced̻u̻r̻. A partir deste ensaio, e seguindo o camiño que marcan os dous filólogos italianos, analízanse varias mostras do xénero de amigo que conteñen o segmento inicial da canción procedente da Italorromania, mostrando como emerxe naquelas o motivo do ir, ver e, posteriormente, referir á madre as propias inquedanzas amorosas. Ademais, abórdase a cronoloxía e o estatuto social dos trobadores que empregaron o tema, indicándose como este coñece diversas fases no seu cultivo na área galego-portuguesa, que poden pasar por, primeiro, a súa “escritura”, o seu cultivo “per se”, e, despois, por un proceso de “reescritura” en que converxe con outros elementos temático-retóricos e léxicos característicos dun grupo moi selecto de autores, que fican, así, vinculados entre si.

This study celebrates and builds upon Formentin and Ciaralli’s (2022) painstaking edition and analysis of the earliest and only known fragment of lyric poetry in its origins (9th-10th century): Fui eo, madre, in civitate, vidi onesti iovene, / calcedur. Based on the framework established by their analysis, this article examines a series of cantigas de amigo containing the incipit of their Italo-Romance predecessor, to illustrate the emergence of the motifs ir and ver and, later on, the appeal to the mother in matters of the heart. The analysis also looks at the chronology and social status of the select group of troubadours in whose work the Fui eo, madre theme appears. The results highlight the different phases of formulation and reformulation of the motif in the lyric tradition of Galician-Portuguese, and the lexical, thematic and rhetorical connections and intertextualities between them.
