Abstract
[ES]En esta revisión bibliográfica se intenta agrupar información interesante acerca de distintos aspectos relacionados con la Enfermedad de Crohn (EC), la cual forma parte del grupo de las Enfermedades Inflamatorias Intestinales (EII) y cuya incidencia está aumentando en los últimos años, curiosamente, a medida que el mundo se occidentaliza. El objetivo de este trabajo es elaborar una discusión crítica de la bibliografía consultada llegando a conclusiones sobre la etiología de la enfermedad, sus tratamientos, el efecto de la dieta sobre ella y cómo afecta en la vida de los pacientes

[EN]This literature review attempts to arrange some relevant information about key aspects of Crohn’s Disease. This pathological condition is part of the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and its incidence rate has been rising in recent years, curiously at a time the world is being “westernized”. The aim of this study is to develop a critical discussion of the referred bibliography and come to conclusions about the etiology of the disease, its treatment, the effect of diet on it and how it affects on patients’ lives
