España frente a la COVID-19: un recorrido por las trincheras políticas, sociales y educativas

Abstract

El año 2020 ha estado protagonizado por un hecho histórico como ha sido la pandemia de la COVID-19, comúnmente conocida como «coronavirus». La comunidad internacional reaccionó de manera irregular al creer que algo así ya no sería posible en pleno siglo XXI, lo cual dejó patente que ningún país está adecuadamente preparado para amenazas biológicas que se salgan de los marcos conocidos ya establecidos. Como era inevitable, esa falta de reparación trajo consigo graves repercusiones a distintos niveles, siendo el más destacado el sanitario (con más de 10 millones de casos en todo el mundo), pero también a nivel económico, social y educativo. En este artículo se analiza la repercusión de la COVID-19 en España y la evolución de la situación de emergencia, así como las repercusiones que ha tenido en los distintos ámbitos de la sociedad, para generar un mapa de la llamada «nueva normalidad» y estudiar cómo pueden afectar las medidas de emergencia al futuro del país. 2020 has been a year that will be remembered due to one historical moment: the pandemic of COVID-19, commonly known as “coronavirus”. The international community did not really know how to react, as everyone believed that an international pandemic like this would not happen in the 21st century and, therefore, it was clear that no country is properly prepared to face biological hazards that escape from the medical work frames that are already known. Inevitably, this lack of preparation had a big impact in different field. The one that most suffered was the sanitary system, with more than 10 million cases in the whole world, but it also affected another fields, such as the economic and educative systems, as well as the society as a whole. In this paper, we’ll analyze the repercussion that COVID-19 had in Spain and the evolution of the emergency situation in the country, as well as the consequences it had in different fields, with the main goal of explaining the situation nowadays with the so-called “new normality” and study how this emergency measure can affect the future of the country.
