Abstract
En los últimos años, diversos estudios han evidenciado que la intervención dirigida a padres es decisiva en la modificación de los problemas de conducta surgidos en edades tempranas, que en muchas ocasiones reflejan el comienzo de una trayectoria antisocial. En este ámbito, el entrenamiento de padres se plantea como una de las modalidades de intervención mejor investigadas y consideradas de mayor calidad por la literatura científica. Este estudio tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de la eficacia de este tipo de intervención, en base a los resultados extraídos de los metaanálisis y artículos de revisión incluidos en las bases de datos PSYCINFO (APA); ISOC (CSIC); ERIC y MEDLINE en los últimos 20 años (1989-2009). Los diferentes metaanálisis y revisiones examinados reflejaron la robustez del entrenamiento de padres en la promoción de cambios positivos en la conducta del niño, en la mejora de las interacciones diarias entre padres e hijos y en las conductas y actitudes parentales. Además, el entrenamiento de padres mostró su eficacia en otros aspectos implicados en la dinámica familiar, como la comunicación, la resolución de problemas y la disminución del estrés parental
In the last years, the scientific studies have evidenced that par-ent-directed interventions are decisive in the modification of early-onset problem behaviors, which frequently are markers of antisocial develop-mental trajectories. In this context, parent-training programs emerge as one of the well-researched intervention modalities, and they are considered as high-quality interventions by the scientific literature in the behavioral problems field. This study aims to review the efficacy of this kind of intervention, on the basis of results from meta-analyses and review papers collected in PSYCINFO (APA); ISOC (CSIC), ERIC and MED-LINE for the last 20 years (1989-2009). The meta-analyses and reviews which are examined in this study indicate the robustness of parent-training in the promotion of positive changes in child behaviors, in the improvement of daily parent-child interactions, and in the parental attitudes and behaviors. Moreover, parent-training programs show their efficacy in the promotion of other aspects involved in the family dynamics, such as communication, problem-solving and parental stress
