Abstract
La ampliación en diez años de la escolarización obligatoria en España, con la Ley 1/1990 de Ordenación General del Sistema Educativo, recomienda desarrollar formas de organización de la misma más flexibles, capaces de responder y adaptarse a las necesidades propias de la situación geográfica de la población a la que debe atender. Ello, añadido a la idea resaltada por el Estatuto de Autonomía en su artículo 31, en el que reconoce que es competencia plena de cada comunidad regular y administrar la enseñanza, sin prejuicio de lo expuesto en el artículo 27 de la Constitución, lleva a crear en la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia los centros públicos integrados, en lo que se imparta la educación básica en su totalidad. En Galicia actualmente existen 53 centros de este tipo, que dan respuesta a la diversidad y peculiaridades de cada contexto particular, y en este artículo se presenta una panorámica de la situación actual de los centros públicos integrados (CPI) con los que cuenta la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia; su ubicación, así como otros rasgos o características que los definen
The extension in ten years of compulsory schooling in Spain, with the Law 1/1990 of General Regulation of the Educational System, is recommended to develop more flexible forms of organization, capable of responding and adapting to the specific needs of the geographical situation of the population to which it must attend. This, added to the idea highlighted by the Statute of Autonomy in its article 31, in which it recognizes that it is the full competence of each regular community to administer the teaching, without prejudice to what is stated in article 27 of the constitution, leads to create in the Autonomous Community of Galicia integrated public centers, in which basic education is taught in its entirety. In Galicia there are currently 53 centers of this type, which respond to the diversity and peculiarities of each particular context, and in this article presents an overview of the real situation of integrated public centers (CPI) of the Autonomous Community of Galicia; its location, as well as other features or characteristics that define them
