Abstract
MPOX, known before as monkeypox, is an infectious zoonotic disease that has been declared in the last year as a public health emergency of international concern (1), causing in the last outbreak around two hundred casualties (2). Its similarities with the now eradicated smallpox, as well as its clinical importance, make of MPOX an interesting subject for research. In this study the general characteristics and dermatological manifestations are described in a non-systematic way, to aid clinicians in the knowledge, detection, and treatment of this disease
