It is crucial for the livelihoods of many families, with Galicia as the leading production region. However, the sector faces significant challenges, including herd reduction, rural depopulation, and its role in methane emissions, which are a focus of national climate strategies. Approximately half of the sector’s emissions arise from fertilizers and soil management, and the remainder from enteric fermentation and manure management. Nutritional strategies to reduce enteric fermentation are among the key mitigation measures.engAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/MethaneBovineNutritionSustainability310402 Bovinos310906 Nutrición330801 Control de la contaminación atmosféricaAnalysis of factors influencing greenhouse gas GHG production in ruminantsdoctoral thesisopen access
