Como demuestra el pequeño conjunto de códices, datados entre mediados del siglo XII y mediados del XIII, a los que se dedica este estudio, es mejor el silencio de quien investiga, cuando no está seguro de lo que un ejemplar dice de sí mismo, que convertirlo en protagonista de una historia que no es la suya.In order to make statements about the origin, identity and history of a book we need to ask it questions and listen to its voice. The answers are to be found in its text and its material characteristics, both internal and external.
