RESCLIMA, which stands for Educational and Social Responses to Climate Change, is a basic research line that uses the social representations theory as one of its theoretical reference frameworks to study how society represents climate change and the relationship between science and common culture in these representations. This is done by exploring the complex logic that governs the construction of common knowledge and the role that scientific culture plays in this process. This chapter is devoted to gather the vast history of RESCLIMA along with the main achievements in the field of education for climate change, as well as its extensive international collaboration network. Since most of the research outputs are in Galician, Spanish, or Portuguese languages, this chapter aims to share our trajectory to the English-speaking community. Along this historical account, readers will go through ideas, innovations, and organizations that have shaped the research line to its current state.engClimate changeSocial representationsEnvironmental educationInterdisciplinary researchInnovative pedagogyRESCLIMA: Two decades of research in educational and social responses to climate changebook part10.1007/978-3-031-25960-9_109-1open access
